100% Offline Processing
SnapScan is a fully offline document scanning application. All scanned pages, files, images, and signatures are processed and stored locally on your device.
Because the app operates completely offline:
- We do not host or use any external cloud servers to process your scans.
- No document data, image captures, or signature assets are ever uploaded or shared.
- You maintain absolute ownership and control over your scanned information.
Permissions We Request
To provide high-quality document scanning services, SnapScan requires access to the following hardware and software capabilities on your device:
- Camera Access: Used exclusively to capture images of physical documents for edge detection and scanning.
- Device Storage / Media: Required to save your compiled PDF and JPG document files, or to import existing images from your gallery.
Information Security
Since your documents never leave your mobile device, the security of your files is protected by your device's native operating system security configurations (such as biometrics, PINs, or passcode locks). We recommend enabling screen lock security features on your device to prevent unauthorized physical access to your scans.
